Math 171 Datafiles

Below are Version 6.1 copies of most of the datafiles which have been used in the last few semesters of Math 171. If there are changes, you will be able to find uptodate copies from this semester on the machines in the Mathlab.

On a PC, it is important that datafiles for DataDeskbe of extension .dsk

These Datafiles can also be made to work on a Macintosh with DataDesk 6.1 if you adjust the creator code of the file to be DDSK and the type code of the file to be DFil. You can use a freeware program like

to make these changes. In case you find these convenient, below are MacBinary and Binhex versions of these files.
